Angelo's has always taken pride in being one of Fort Worth's most recognized restaruants. When Fort Worth city officials traveled to New York City with a contingent of local attractions, from real live longhorns, to NASCAR drivers, Angelo's was invited along to help promote the city. With cattle and cars displayed in Times Square, Angelo's was right there serving up its one-of-a-kind, down-home Texas BBQ to the crowd.
It's quite possible that Angelo's has been reviewed by nearly every food critic in the DFW metroplex, southwest region and many others nationwide, including magazines such as, American Way, Chile Pepper, Esquire, Gourmet, Home and Garden, Southern Living, Texas Highways, Texas Monthly, and The Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, New York Times, and countless others.
In 2003, Angelo’s BBQ was even featured on "Food Nation" with Bobby Flay.
"We are humbled by all the recognition we have received over the decades." - Jason George
